Competition for the best master's thesis
The Department of Thermal Technology of the Silesian University of Technology, together with industrial partners, announces a nationwide competition for the best master's thesis on the application of computational methods for the simulation of thermal-fluid processes. The purpose of the competition is to promote students' achievements in the application of computational techniques in the widely understood thermal technology. Thanks to the presence of representatives of industry and software companies on the competition jury, information about the best works and their authors will reach potential employers.
Master's theses and outstanding engineering theses defended between 1.01.2022 and 31.12.2022 can be submitted for this year's edition of the competition.
Deadline for application: 31.03.2023.
The dissertations should be on applications of computational technology to modeling of thermal-fluid processes in any field of technology and science. The works can be written in Polish or English. The work should be sent in electronic form (PDF file) to jakub.bodys@polsl.pl. The results of the competition will be known in June 2023.
Selection of the best diplomas will be carried out in two stages. In the first stage, four or five finalists will be selected from the works sent to the competition. The second stage will consist of a presentation of the final works before a jury selected by the institutions organizing the competition.
The finalist works will be awarded with cash prizes donated by Hitachi Energy, MESco, SymKom and SBB Energy. The total prize pool is approximately PLN 20,000.
