New series of ISIAQ's webinars

After the success of the 2020 webinars, ISIAQ is organizing a new series of three webinars related to COVID-19 and the role of buildings. Eighteen months after the beginning of the pandemic and the late recognition of airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2, what have we learned about: the indoor transmission? the way to manage buildings? the efficiency of air cleaners? These three webinars will discuss these different topics around the international experts involved in acquiring new knowledge and advising the policy makers.

Free access and Zoom link will be provided upon registration for each webinar (see below) for both members and non-members. Post-webinar On Demand/Replay available for only ISIAQ members.

 

Webinar 1: The recognition of airborne transmission of infectious diseases

Date: September 28, 9 am EST / 3 pm CET (one hour in length)

Moderator: Prof. Pawel Wargocki, Danish Technical University (DTU), Denmark

Speakers:

  1. Distinguished Professor Lidia Morawska, Queensland University of Technology, Australia. Presentation: A paradigm shift to combat indoor respiratory infection.
  2. Professor Jose L. Jimenez, University of Colorado, USA. Presentation: The history of airborne transmission strongly contributed to its denial for COVID-19 by major public health organizations.
