Faculty of Biomedical Engineering

The first edition of postgraduate studies in "Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in Medicine" has just ended. The free-off-charge studies are financed by the Medical Research Agency as part of the project "Innovative Medicine based on Facts, IT, AI, and Robotics." The Faculty of Biomedical Engineering conducts studies together with the leader of the consortium, the Silesian Medical University in Katowice. Classes lasted on weekends from October 2024 to April 2025. The ceremonial presentation of diplomas took place on June 8, 2025, at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Silesian Medical University in Katowice.

The project aims to enable medical staff in the biomedical sector to supplement their professional qualifications by obtaining specialized knowledge and practical skills for developing the medical environment dominated by modern technology. The studies last two semesters and are conducted on weekends (eight remote meetings, four remote meetings, including laboratory classes at the EHTIC center in Zabrze). The following studies editions will start in 2025/2026 and 2026/2027.
