Our special guest will be Artur Jurkowski, PhD, Eng., Head of Engineering at KP Labs, who develops advanced satellite systems for data processing in space on a daily basis. A graduate of the Silesian University of Technology, he specializes in reliable thermal systems for satellites and, in his spare time, is a passionate landscape photographer who has visited more than 65 countries.
During the lecture entitled “Survival Engineering – From the Laboratory to Earth's Orbit” you will learn, among other things:
🔵 how devices capable of withstanding extreme space conditions are designed,
🔵 what challenges engineers working on satellite missions face,
🔵 how hardware is qualified for spaceflight,
🔵 and gain insight into the development of the Intuition-1 satellite.

The event will also feature the Silesian Phoenix team, which will showcase Phoenix III, a student-built rover project developed at the Silesian University of Technology.
