Science Days 2026

This year's Science Days took place on April 9 and 10, 2026. During this event, the Silesian University of Technology presented its research potential and strategic directions for the development of science implemented within the six Priority Research Areas. This year's edition once again brought together outstanding scientists from Poland and abroad – leaders of international research projects, experts with an established scientific position, as well as representatives of the academic community and the socio-economic environment.

The second day of the Science Days focused on issues related to innovation, commercialization and knowledge transfer.

The main theme of this part was "Innovation, commercialization and knowledge transfer – Innovations that work: from the lab to implementation".

During that day, the m.in. plenary session was held V. It was chaired by Andrzej Loska, PhD, DSc, Eng., SUT prof. (co-coordinator of PRA 5) from the Department of Fundamentals of Machinery Design of the Silesian University of Technology.
