Innovative Solutions as a Response to Contemporary Maintenance Challenges in Industrial Practice
On January 20, 2026, a conference dedicated to key innovation trends in the field of maintenance was held at the Ptak Expo Exhibition Centre in Nadarzyn. The event, accompanying the Maintenance Poland 2026 trade fair, was organized by the Industry 4.0 Center of the Silesian University of Technology, in cooperation with the Institute of Production Systems Organization of the Warsaw University of Technology.
The conference was opened by Andrzej Soldaty, Director of CP4.0, and Prof. Ilona Jacyna-Gołda, Director of the Institute of Production Systems Organization at WUT.
The speakers emphasized the role of universities in shaping research and educational trends.
The substantive program focused on digital transformation and covered the following topics:
- Use of Digital Twin technology – Dr. Krzysztof Ejsmont (Warsaw University of Technology) and Mariusz Waśkowicz (Siemens Poland).
- Applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in maintenance methods – Prof. Anna Timofiejczuk (Silesian University of Technology).
- Modern IT tools for identifying operational challenges – Dominik Lubera (Profesal) and Tomasz Bober (QRmaint).
- Manufacturer Service 4.0 as an innovative approach to machine servicing – Paweł Orzech (Bosch Rexroth).
- Vibroacoustics in implementing predictive maintenance strategies – Krzysztof Kondziela (Turck).
- Change management in innovation implementation – Adrian Stelmach (Explitia).
