Industry 4.0 in the production of new generation passenger car
body components

Presentation summary

During the presentation, the discussion will focus on the implementation of the Industry 4.0 concept in the production of body components for modern passenger cars. Automated hot-stamping processes will be showcased, supported by an example of a production line where processes have been fully digitized.

One of the key elements of the Industry 4.0 concept is the utilization of “digital twin” technology, which enables the simulation, optimization, and real-time monitoring of every phase of production. This begins with the precise configuration of machinery and extends to quality control of finished products. Emphasis will be placed on the role of real-time data analysis systems, which facilitate the rapid identification of potential errors, root cause analysis of malfunctions, and the swift implementation of improvements.

The presentation provides insights into, among other things:

  • The process of hot-stamping and its pivotal role in the manufacturing of innovative automotive body components.
  • The concept of “digital twins” and how they enable the simulation, optimization, and real-time monitoring of production processes.
  • The impact of data analysis systems on the rapid detection and elimination of defects, as well as the real-time implementation of improvements.
  • How multi-criteria analysis of hot-stamping parameters exemplifies practical process digitization, enabling better customization of machine settings and processes to meet specific production requirements.
