The conference titled “Occupational Safety and Innovative Technologies in Industry” was held at the International Congress Center in Katowice. The event was organized by the District Labor Inspectorate in Katowice (OIP Katowice) as part of the 21st edition of the International Fair for Occupational Safety, Health, and Fire Protection – BHP 2025.
The event brought together experts, researchers, business representatives, and public institutions to discuss modern technologies that enhance working conditions and minimize occupational risks.
During the conference, industry experts presented key topics related to occupational safety in the era of digitalization:
- “Industry 4.0 Technology in Occupational Safety”– the use of robotics and AI to improve working conditions.
- “Risk Management in the Digital Age”– analysis of hazards associated with automation.
- “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Predicting and Preventing Workplace Accidents”– AI as a key element in improving safety.
- “Digital Tools for Monitoring Compliance with Occupational Safety Standards”– the role of digital documentation in control and reporting.
The Industry 4.0 Technology Testing Center was represented by Prof. Andrzej Loska, PhD, DSc, Eng. from the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. The center was established, among other purposes, to enhance occupational safety when working with machinery.
