Conference "Innovative Solutions to Contemporary Challenges in Industrial Maintenance Practice"
During the conference "Innovative Solutions to Contemporary Challenges in Industrial Maintenance Practice," representatives from the Department of Fundamentals of Machinery Design at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering presented their talks: Prof. Anna Timofiejczuk, PhD, DSc, Eng., and PhD student M.Sc. Eng. Damian Augustyn.
The event was organized by the Silesian University of Technology's Industry 4.0 Center as part of the international Maintenance Poland trade fair. It took place on January 22, 2025, at Ptak Warsaw Expo.
- Prof. Anna Timofiejczuk, PhD, DSc, Eng., presented a presentation titled "Development Directions for Maintenance Methods Based on Artificial Intelligence Applications." During her presentation, she introduced advanced technologies such as digital twins, digital product passports, and blockchain, highlighting their applications in maintenance systems. The lecture covered both practical implementations of these technologies in industry and their developmental potential.
- MSc, Eng. Damian Augustyn presented a presentation titled "Aspects of Diagnosing Drive Systems and Spindles of Machining Centers Using Artificial Intelligence Methods." His presentation focused on the application of fuzzy logic and deep neural networks for diagnosing the technical condition of machines. He also addressed key challenges associated with the operation of drive systems and spindles, along with algorithms that enable fault detection and prediction.
The conference provided an excellent platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience in modern industrial technologies and their practical application in addressing challenges related to maintenance.
