Artificial intelligence and data processing Priority Research Area POB2

On 22.X.2024, the XLIII Chorzow Technology Days were held, organized by the City Council of the Supreme Technical Organization (Naczelna Organizacja Techniczna - NOT) - an organization of engineers and technicians. During the event, a lecture titled “Artificial Intelligence - opportunities and threats” was presented by POB2 coordinator Prof. Pawel Kasprowski. During the speech, he explained how the use of “Artificial Intelligence” differs from ordinary computer use and answered the question “is the iron smart?”. It was discussed how AI can help us and why it can always go wrong. An important part of the speech was also a discussion of the challenges facing scientists working on artificial intelligence: the explainability, fallibility, morality and objectivity of artificial intelligence.
