Santander awards for students and PhD students of the Silesian University of Technology!
We have selected the winners of the first edition of the Santander Awards for students and PhD students of the Silesian University of Technology. We announced the results and identified 50 winners who will receive financial prizes of PLN 1,000.
About the Award
The Santander Award is one-off financial support for students and PhD students for their individual achievements. The sponsor of the award is Santander Bank Polska, which supports the development of the academic community through many initiatives. The purpose of Santander awards for academic communities is not only to recognize the work done so far, but also to motivate for further development.
Students and doctoral students who could boast of achievements in science and non-university activities, as well as social involvement and involvement in initiatives at the Silesian University of Technology or in secondary school - in the case of first-year students - applied for the scholarship. We also took into account the results in the recruitment procedure for the field currently studied.
- Congratulations to all the honourees and I think this is a great beginning of cooperation with Santander Universidades. I especially appeal to students and doctoral students to keep up to date with the offer of this institution, because there you will find a wide range of foreign internships and training courses that are worth taking advantage of - said prof. dr eng. Arkadiusz Mężyk – rector of the Silesian University of Technology - during the ceremonial awarding of diplomas to the scholarship holders.
The award ceremony took place on January 12, 2023, in the Senate Hall of the Silesian University of Technology.

After the break, I want to continue my second-cycle studies, said the laureate.
Agnieszka Puszczewicz-Fornal, an architecture student, also received a scholarship. – I liked Santander's initiative.
