Youth Entrepreneurship Gala in Rybnik: An Inspiring Journey into the World of Entrepreneurship
On February 26th, 2024, the Youth Entrepreneurship Gala was held at the Continuing Education Centre- a branch of the Silesian University of Technology in Rybnik. The meeting, which gathered young business enthusiasts, was not only an opportunity to gain knowledge and inspiration, but also a place where ideas and plans for the future crystallized.
Shaping the Future with Passion
The Youth Entrepreneurship Gala in Rybnik was a unique event that allowed young people to explore the secrets of entrepreneurship and hear inspiring success stories from experienced entrepreneurs from the region. The atmosphere of the meeting was conducive to establishing contacts, exchanging experiences and searching for new professional development opportunities.
In the main competition for the best business project, the jury selected the winners and awarded three distinctions:
Place I - Tomasz Szczotok with the project "Dasky Technology"
Place II - Szymon Dominek with the project "Close to You"
Place III - Mikołaj Mocek with the project "Miejskie Skrytki"

The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, prof. dr hab. Eng. Arkadiusz Mężyk, as well as the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship - Jakub Chełstowski.

A continuation of this extraordinary event was the "Focus on Entrepreneurship" meeting, which took place in cooperation with the Volunteer Labor Corps in Rybnik. The aim of this event was to familiarize young people with the job offers of entrepreneurs from Rybnik and the surrounding area, as well as to present the rich educational offer of the Academic Secondary Comprehensive School in Rybnik.
Common Path to Success
The "Focus on Entrepreneurship" meeting co-organized by our institutions was of great importance for young people looking for career paths and for local entrepreneurs wanting to recruit new, talented employees. During the event, young people had the opportunity to take part in lectures by employers: DSV, Ekookna, Hostersi, Little Bit Academy, and also visited fair stands, where she could learn about specific job and internship offers. An important part of the event was also the presentation of the course in logistics, which can be studied in Rybnik.
Building Bridges between Education and Business
The Youth Entrepreneurship Gala and the "Focus on Entrepreneurship" meeting are excellent examples of cooperation between the educational and business sectors. Thanks to such initiatives, young people have the opportunity to better understand the realities of the labour market and acquire the necessary skills, while entrepreneurs can easily find talented young people ready to take on challenges.
These types of events not only inspire, but also build bridges between the world of education and business, enabling young people to achieve professional success and contributing to the development of the local community.
