XXI Polish Control Conference
From 26th to 29th June 2023, the Silesian University of Technology will host the "XXI Polish Control Conference", PCC2023. The deadline for submitting scientific articles is February 28th, 2023.
After successful completion of the review process, we intend to publish the papers in the form of a monograph by the Springer publishing house, and selected papers will be recommended for the Archives of Control Sciences and the International Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science .
Participants from the Silesian University of Technology are offered a 50% discount on the fee stated on the conference website. Students of the Silesian University of Technology, exhibiting PBL projects selected by the organizers or projects implemented as part of Student Research Clubs as part of the exhibition during the conference, have the opportunity to present and publish scientific papers in the Springer monograph accepted by reviewers and concerning the above-mentioned projects free of charge (concerns one paper per presented project).
The "Polish Control Conference" is a cyclical event organized under the substantive supervision of the Automation and Robotics Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, every 3 years since 1958. In the years 1958-2014, the conference had a national character and was called the "National Automation Conference". The Program Committee of the conference is made up of members of the Automatics and Robotics Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, who, by discussion and voting, entrust the organization of the conference to other renowned academic centres in the country. In 2023, the honour of organizing and hosting the conference will be given to the Silesian University of Technology, which, as a laureate in the Initiative of Excellence - Research University competition, among its six priority research areas declared in the development strategy, focuses two of them on issues directly related to the subject of the conference - these are Artificial Intelligence and data processing as well as Process Automation and Industry 4.0. It is also responsible for the research area of Process Automation and Industry 4.0 within the consortium of the European university Eureca-Pro.
The main purpose of the conference, in addition to integrating a wide environment of automation and roboticists, people related to data processing and analysis, mathematical modelling, artificial intelligence methods and many other related areas, is to present the latest achievements and exchange experiences in the field of research and application work. It is the most important scientific forum in this field organized in Poland. We also expect the participation of excellent guests from abroad, which will place the PCC2023 conference among the important international events in this area. We count on the participation of experienced and young scientists as well as practitioners.
The conference will be enriched with many accompanying events. We are planning, among others, presentations of the results of research projects, presentations of student projects, participation of exhibitors, visits to companies operating in the subject of the conference, workshops, and a summer school. We are open to suggestions in this regard. I especially encourage you to get involved in these events.
