World Intellectual Property Day at the Centre for Incubation and Technology Transfer. Take the quiz!

April 26th is World Intellectual Property Day. On this occasion, the Centre for Incubation and Technology Transfer of the Silesian University of Technology invites you to participate in an online quiz on intellectual property and its commercialisation.

The quiz will be available on the website from 26 to 27 April - from the university network of the Silesian University of Technology and via VPN from external IP addresses. Prizes will be drawn among the quiz participants!

World Intellectual Property Day was established by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (a specialised organisation of the United Nations, WIPO). The day was established in 2000 and was chosen to commemorate the entry into force of the Convention establishing WIPO in 1970.

This day aims to:

• show how patents, copyrights, trademarks and utility/industrial designs affect everyday life,
• raise awareness and knowledge of existing intellectual property rights,
• highlight the creativity and contribution of creators and inventors to societies around the world,
• encourage respect for the intellectual property rights of others.
