Technical universities in Poland received an award at the WNP Awards gala. The statuette for Silesian University of Technology was received by Vice Rector for Collaboration with Civic and Economic Environment, Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Marcin Staniek, Prof. SUT .
The WNP Awards, which were handed out for the fifth time, continue the tradition of prestigious awards "The One who changes the Polish industry". In this way, the editorial office of the portal WNP.PL honours those whose actions change the Polish economy for the better. The statuettes are traditionally presented during the annual EEC Trends conference, the event preceding the European Economic Congress. This year the gala took place on February 3 at the Grand Sheraton Warsaw Hotel.
The WNP Awards statuettes went to 8 winners. They were: Polish Biogas Group, Unimot S.A., Qemetica S.A., MCI Capital, Griffin Capital Partners, IKEA in Poland and technical universities in Poland.
The awards for technical universities in Poland were presented by Michał Jaros, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, and Stanisław Tański, President of the Management Board of ABB, were received by: Vice Rector for Collaboration with Civic and Economic Environment Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Marcin Staniek, Prof. SUT and Vice-Rector for Education of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Krzysztof Mendrok.
Universities support the economy and implement technology. The most important thing for us is cooperation between the university, business, and the community - said Vice-Rector Marcin Staniek.
