Another success of the judo section of KŚ AZS of the Silesian University of Technology.
This time, Emilia Wołkowicz won gold in the Polish Junior Cup.

The 14th Polish Junior Open Cup in judo was organized in Sochaczew. 54 women and 140 men from Poland, the Czech Republic and Lithuania competed in it.

18-year-old Emilia Wołkowicz fought three fights in the up to 63 kilograms category. She won all of them and took the first place. Emilia is the daughter of the coach of our section, Bronisław Wołkowicz - an Olympian from Atlanta in this discipline, who also conducts classes with students.

- This is, of course, Emilia's success, but also another step in her career. In November she will take part in the Polish Senior Championships, says Bronisław Wołkowicz. - From October, I will be inviting students to judo classes. We will train twice a week - on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Let us remind you that Kacper Szczurowski recently won the bronze medal in judo at the Universiade in Chengdu, China. We will write in more detail about his success, as well as the activities of our judo section, in the next issue of the "Bulletin".
