The event is organized by the Ministry of Digital Affairs in cooperation with NASK and Silesian University of Technology. Digital Skills Summit is a conference that invites representatives of business, science and all interested in the role of digital competences in the development of the economy.

“The digital transformation has a very strong impact on the labour market. The transformation of the economy into version 4.0 means that we also need a 4.0 employee – who has advanced digital skills and accompanying soft skills. The demand for new staff, able to dynamically adapt to changing realities, is growing. At the Digital Skills Summit we want to initiate and direct a national discussion on this subject with the participation of leading authorities – says Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski.

During the conference, the point of view and business needs related to digital transformation will be discussed. The guests will also present the government’s vision of Poland’s use of the opportunity offered by this transformation and existing or planned forms of support for entrepreneurs and employees. An important element will also be discussions about working in the digital economy and how modern workers must develop.

That's not all! The latest trends and forecasts for the future will also be presented, both from the perspective of science and business. Research of Polish scientists, practical solutions and projects supporting the development of digital competences of Polish employees and leaders will be presented. We will look at what changes in the labour market are forced by automation and robotization of enterprises, what hopes and fears it brings, and how it changes thinking about the education of future generations.

In Gliwice you will meet excellent guests: ministers, scientists, theoreticians, and practitioners. The conference will be opened by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski. Representatives of the ministries of development and technology, national education, science and higher education, national defence and industry will also take part.
