Welcome to ChemSpot 2025
On 5th and 6th of June 2025, ChemSpot 2025 conference will be held at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Silesian University of Technology, gathering scientists, students, representatives of the chemical industry and enthusiasts of innovation from all over Poland. There are a lot of different attractions waiting for the participants – from lectures, through presentations, to a concert.
ChemSpot 2025 will be held as part of the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the Faculty of Chemistry. The event is a unique platform for knowledge exchange during thematic presentations in the field of scientific research and industrial solutions and provides the opportunity to establish direct cooperation between academia and the industrial sector.
The event will start on June 5th at 8.00 at the Faculty Conference of Young Scientists (Gliwice, 18B, Konarskiego Street, Education and Congress Centre), during which participants will have an opportunity to take part in:
• lecture by Prof. Dr Hab. Jarosław Polański,
• industry presentations of companies: Avantor, Sandvik and Synthos.
• student speeches on conducted research,
• career fairs with the participation of partner companies,
• artistic performance of the band "Fifth Phase".
“ChemSpot’s goal is to create a space where innovation meets practice. We see great interest in the chemical industry in topics related to new chemical technologies and sustainable development, therefore we want the conference on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Faculty of Chemistry to become an impulse to define the future needs of our industrial partners and the opportunity to establish new cooperation” – says the Vice-Dean for Infrastructure and Organization of the Faculty of Chemistry - Dr Eng. Piotr Latos.
Another great attraction awaits us on the 6th of June. On this day, The First National Scientific Conference “MoleCon” will take place, followed by Chemicals.
The conference, which will start at 8.00 in the auditorium 1/C at the Faculty of Chemistry ( 9, Strzody Street in Gliwice) brings together young scientists and PhD students, giving them space to present their first scientific achievements.
After the substantive part, at 15.00 we invite everyone to a barbecue together, and at 18.00 the Student Research Club of Chemists will present a chemical show – all this as part of the Chemical event, which will take place in the square behind the “Grey Chemistry” (7 Strzody Street in Gliwice).
As part of the event, the organizers prepared many attractions available to all the guests, such as: The Beauty Zone, the Gaming Zone, the Kids Zone, and the Relaxation Zone.
