Welcome Point invites to the integration grill

Another integration event for PhD students and scientists from abroad staying at the Silesian University of Technology and their families is ahead of us. Welcome Point invites to a meeting under the slogan “Poles on vacation – grill party in the garden.”

We invite you to the event, which will take place on the 27th of May 2025 in the Employees’ Club of the Silesian University of Technology at 16:00. The meeting will be conducted in English by experienced teachers of Polish language for foreigners from the Foreign Languages Centre of the Silesian University of Technology.

The main goal of the event is to familiarize participants with the most beautiful and interesting places in Poland, which are worth visiting during their holidays. Participants will also learn how Poles spend their holidays. During the meeting, practical information on traveling around Poland will be discussed, including means of transport, popular tourist destinations and traditions related to leisure.

An additional advantage of the event will be a language workshop, during which participants will learn basic phrases and vocabulary related to travel and holiday activities.

The meeting will be accompanied by a grill party in the garden, which will create a unique opportunity to talk, make new friends and share experiences.

The event will also include the promotion of the activities of the EURAXESS initiative, including the Polish EURAXESS network coordinated by NAWA.

The partner of the event is the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
