Week of Knowledge in the European City of Science Katowice 2024

On July 1, a Week of Knowledge begins in the European City of Science Katowice 2024. The participants will be able to take part in a number of meetings and interesting events.

Knowledge - what is hidden under this concept? Someone may define it as a life experience, but the scientist will say it is information collected during research. Knowledge can be scientific, practical, theoretical, empirical, and intuitive.

Knowledge allows us to understand the world, the reality in which we function. Thanks to it, we make informed decisions and solve problems. It is the foundation of progress and change in every area of life, from science to art and philosophy.

Knowledge is the foundation, but it is subject to change. What we believe to be certain today may be questioned for some time, supplemented with new breakthrough discoveries,” explains the organizers of a Week of Knowledge.

In order to introduce the inhabitants of the region to the world of science, representatives of the University of Silesia in cooperation with other academic centres invite to a series of events from 1 to 7 July.
