We support sport scientifically, i.e. what will result from mutual visits of engineers and medics

Medics will host engineers, and engineers will host medics... And we can already assure you that these mutual visits will result in a huge dose of knowledge about technologies, health and sport. We invite secondary school pupils to participate in the meeting taking place on May 16th in Katowice and on May 17th in Zabrze as part of the "We support sport scientifically" event.

How can engineers support sports training? What can we do to make sport safe for us? What happens to us when we move? Do we really know how to run? And what do dance and science have in common? These and other questions will be answered by scientists from the Silesian University of Technology, the Medical University of Silesia and the Poznań University of Physical Education during meetings as part of the "We support sport scientifically" event.

Lectures and workshops will be held at 10:00-14:10 on two dates and locations:

  • May 16th, 2023, in Katowice (Faculty of Medical Sciences in Katowice, Medical University of Silesia, 15, Medyków Street),
  • May 17th, 2023, in Zabrze (European HealthTech Innovation Centre - EHTIC, 40a, Roosevelta Street).

The event is aimed at students from secondary schools. Requires registration, which can be done by the teacher / group guardian via the registration form: https://tiny.pl/wbtnk . Confirmation of participation depends on the number of available places.

The activities in both locations are the same.
