We invite you to a conference on the situation of people with disabilities
On February 14th, 2025, the Science and Technology Centre of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice will host a conference on the problems of people with disabilities and their carers.
On February 12, the Day of the Guardian of the People with Disabilities is celebrated – an important holiday that draws attention to the effort and dedication of people caring for loved ones with disabilities. On this occasion, the “ Nieodkładalni” Foundation , whose priority is to provide physical and psychological support for carers of people with disabilities, organizes a conference to emphasize the role of those who literally “do not put off” their loved ones 24 hours a day. The event will take place within the walls of the Silesian University of Technology, which is not indifferent to the problems of people with disabilities and their families.
During the event, we will be able to listen to inspiring speakers – the presidents of the “Nieodkładalni” Foundation and “Jesteśmy Ważne” as well as representatives of the National Social Campaign IMPORTANT And VISIBLE – parents and carers of people with disabilities.
- In the first part of the conference (14:00 - 16:15) we will share our everyday life, activities undertaken for people with disabilities and experiences from working with their families and carers. The second part, a workshop (16.30 – 18.30), will be devoted to the disenchantment of respite care – the organizers announce.
