Turn on creativity, turn off the pressure
You are caught up in the lights, feel the weight of expectations, thoughts circulate like crazy, and you try to catch your breath between classes? It’s time to switch to relaxation mode! October the 10th is World Mental Health Day, on this occasion the Student Activity Centre has prepared a number of events and attractions that will put everyone in a good mood.
World Mental Health Day is a great opportunity to stop for a moment, take care of yourself and, above all, pay attention to the importance of mental health well-being and prevention in everyday life. The Student Creativity Centre at 3, Akademicka Street in Gliwice invites all those who want to spend time in a pleasant atmosphere from the morning to 17:00.
- Chill with music
10:00 - 15:00 - as part of the project "Science with culture", Dr Eng. Bogusław Ziębowicz will create a space from perfectly selected sounds, in which you will be able to immerse yourself. Music is of great importance to our well-being – it relieves tension, supports concentration, and helps release emotions.
- Express yourself through art
14:30 – 15:30 – come to the creative workshop with Dr Krzysztof Groń from the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology. Together we will let our imagination run wild, take scissors, paper and... we will be limited only by our imagination.
- The “PHASE ON CHILL” workshop, there you will learn simple ways, thanks to which pre-exam stress or important interview will not be so terrible anymore. Classes will be conducted by Katarzyna Janowicz-Pielecka, psychologist, psychotherapist.
15:45 – 16:25 – PHASE I – peace in practice. You will learn how to create good thoughts and consciously focus your attention, use breathing techniques, calm the overloaded nervous system, and manage stress in everyday situations from classes to exams.
16:30 – 17:00 – PHASE II – Total relaxation. Relaxation techniques with elements of music therapy, time for a deep experience of peace and comfort. You can take a blanket with you, sit back, and let yourself just… be.
Stress, lack of sleep and pressure are a bad trio. Let’s take care of our mental health together – because it is the foundation of our well-being and strength to act!
Throughout the day, the Student Creativity Centre will turn for you into a space of positive thoughts, where you will be able to leave a kind and inspiring word for yourself or others.
We invite all students for a moment of rest, conversation, and a cup of warm tea.
All workshops are free, no registration is required, just come.
