Training “Game-based learning in academic didactics”

On May 24th  this year The Centre for Modern Education has completed another training course “Game-based learning in academic didactics – building digital textbooks as Minecraft Education worlds” organized as part of a series of training courses in modern learning methods, dedicated to the academic staff of the Silesian University of Technology.

The training is divided into 4 thematic meetings, conducted on-site and online. During the training participants:

  • Improved their environment design skills in Minecraft Education.
  • Learnt about basic interactions in Minecraft Education.
  • Developed competences in the use of innovative tools to improve asynchronous learning.

The training cycle is led by Dr Stefan Nowicki, digital competence trainer of academic teachers, instructional designer, graduate of the Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning (Online Learning Consortium & Washington State University). Certified Microsoft PowerPoint Specialist, Word Expert and Minecraft Trainer.
