Studies are a time for acquiring knowledge, developing competences, meeting inspiring people and building one’s future. That is why the Silesian University of Technology is implementing the project "Together to the diploma - Silesian University of Technology supports students", co-financed by the EU, which creates a modern support system for students at various stages of education.

As part of the project, participants can take advantage of many additional opportunities to support their academic, personal and professional development:
- adaptation classes to help students get to know the university and its possibilities better,
- support of first-year tutors and mentors of the educational path of second-cycle students,
- classes in mathematics, physics and chemistry developing competences necessary for further education,
- micro-courses and flexible educational paths,
- coaching supporting personal development and planning for the future,
- tutoring exchange enabling the exchange of knowledge and mutual support of students,
- modern tools confirming acquired competencies in the form of micro-credentials.

The project assumes support for as many as 10,500 male and female first-year students of first-cycle studies, and additionally 1,100 people studying at the Silesian University of Technology will benefit from activities improving competences. Additionally, plans are underway to implement a drop-out monitoring system, a platform for exchanging peer support offers (tutoring exchange), and tools for issuing micro-credential certificates.

The project will result in reducing the drop-out phenomenon and adapting the educational offer to the needs of the labour market and the green and digital transformation.

The aim of the project is to create an environment in which every student can fully utilize their potential and consciously build their development path.
