They are working on a project involving application of  a humanoid robot

For several months now, an educational project under the acronym RoboCoop has been implemented at the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology. Partners from Turkey, Spain and Germany take part in it. On August 24-25, another meeting of partners implementing this project was held in Gliwice. 

The aim of this project (implemented as part of the European Erasmus+ program) is to develop a comprehensive educational program that allows the use of the Pepper humanoid robot in the education process. 

In August, a meeting of partners implementing the Robot Cooperation project financed under the European Erasmus+ program took place. The meeting was attended by representatives of all units implementing the task, i.e.: Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam Üniversitesi - Türkiye Partner Organization (project coordinator), Universitat Jaume I (Castellón) - Ministerio de educación from Spain, Gazi Üniversitesi from Turkey, ARDA Beratung & Bildung GmbH from Germany and representatives of the Silesian University of Technology. 

Scientists discussed the results obtained so far and decided on further work. The decisions taken were significantly influenced by the results of the survey conducted in the spring. The survey was conducted in order to improve the software for the future humanoid robot.  

The participants of the meeting also took part in a sightseeing and tourist trip, during which they got to know and admire the most important monuments of Gliwice. They also visited the campus of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. The supervisor of the event on behalf of our university was dr hab. Eng. Magdalena Palacz.
