The title of “Silver Engineer” for the Vice-Rector of the Silesian University of Technology Prof. Anna Chrobok

The Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education at the Silesian University of Technology, Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Anna Chrobok, received the Silver Engineer statuette in the Readers’ Choice Award for the Golden Engineer title.

We are pleased to inform that during the gala summarizing the 32nd edition of the Readers' plebiscite "Technical Review" on March the 3rd, 2026, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education of the Silesian University of Technology, Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Anna Chrobok received the “Silver Engineer” statuette.

Professor Chrobok was appreciated for her activity and scientific achievements in the field of chemistry. She is a specialist in chemical and organic technology and catalysis, and the author of over 140 papers and 50 patents. She has led numerous grants and implementation projects. She is also a member of the Polish Chemical Society. She works with industry, had many foreign internships and was a promoter of 16 doctorates.

As Prof. Chrobok admits, receiving an award in an engineering competition is a great distinction for her.

- It is my work as an engineer that gives me a lot of real satisfaction, especially when I participate in the process of implementing solutions to industrial practice, e.g. during the commissioning of a chemical installation. I believe that passion, consistency, and faith in the sense of creating innovative solutions have real value. I would like to thank everyone for their joint efforts to develop technical thought, - she said.

The Vice-Rector was awarded in the “Innovation” category. Let us add that the “Golden Engineer” plebiscite selects outstanding representatives of technical circles. The candidates and then the winners of this competition represent different specialties and fields.

The event was held under the Honorary Patronage of the Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland and the Ministry of Digital Affairs.
