The success of the SUT student in the Mining Knowledge Tournament

On 12 April 2022, the Mining Knowledge Tournament was held in Kraków. The first place was awarded to Michał Wojaczek from the Student Scientific Association “Bezpieczna Ściana” (transl. “Safe Wall”).

The tournament is held annually within the School of Underground Mining in Kraków. Students from three Polish universities joined this year's competition: the Silesian University of Technology, AGH University of Science and Technology and Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

The team from the Silesian University of Technology including Patryk Jaworski, Jan Starzyk and Michał Wojaczek after several months of arduous preparation, can enjoy their success! The winner of the entire tournament was Michał Wojaczek from the student scientific association "Bezpieczna Ściana". As we heard at the Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering and Industrial Automation, the intuition of Aneta Grodzicka PhD, Eng. did not fail during the recruitment to the tournament. Ms Grodzicka is the supervisor of the "Bezpieczna Ściana" Student Scientific Association. Also, the substantive preparation by Jan Kania PhD, DSc, Eng. was very helpful.
