The success of students of the Faculty of Architecture

Izabela Mularczyk and Magdalena Sikora from the Faculty of Architecture of the Silesian University of Technology have won the fourth finals of the Tech Minds grant competition organized by PwC Polska. The project of our students “My Virtual Client” won in the category of Universities.

The Tech Minds Final is a unique event that every year proves that an innovative approach to learning can bring significant changes. This year, as many as 138 teams entered the competition, from which three winners were selected.

The awarded project of students of the Faculty of Architecture, entitled “My Virtual Client” is a new educational tool that changes the way architecture students are educated, preparing them for the realities of design work. The application generates profiles of virtual clients, placing realistic design requirements, taking into account, among others, budget, functionality, style and restrictions resulting from location and regulations.

With “My Virtual Client,” theoretical project exercises become realistic challenges, which allow students to gain practical experience even before entering the labour market. The application not only improves the learning process but also develops key competences such as customer needs analysis, effective communication, and teamwork. In addition, the tool promotes the integration of the academic and educational community, engaging students in an active search for design solutions. “My Virtual Client” is a step toward a modern architectural education, combining theory with practice and better preparing future architects for professional challenges.

The prize money received by the winners will be used for the creation of the application.
