On January 21st, 2025, at the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology, a meeting “Alstom’s innovative solutions in the world of transport and smart cities” was held.

The event attracted great interest from students who filled the hall to broaden their knowledge about modern technologies in transport and the possibilities of cooperation with Alstom.

During the meeting, the speakers presented the following topics:
- Marcin Dereń, Alstom Poland branch in Katowice - "Let's get to know each other better, we have common competences",
- Piotr Mitrenga - "Solutions for urban transport",
- Alina Grabowy - "HR issues and opportunities for cooperation with Alstom".

In the new semester Alstom is planning further workshops for students, which will focus on professional competences and HR issues. Details of the dates and topics will be announced soon.

The event was implemented within the Priority Research Area 4: Smart cities and mobility of the future. The initiator and organizer of the meeting was Dr Hab. Eng. Katarzyna Turoń, Prof. SUT.
