The second edition of the TV workshops organized by the Centre for Modern Education
From the 5th to 6th June this year, the second edition of the unique training conducted by the Centre for Modern Education took place. The workshop was led by a team of TVS TV specialists – experienced producers, editors, and presenters.
The two-day training allowed the participants to get to know the work with the camera – from the moment of recording the material to its editing and final assembly. Thanks to the workshops, the participants expanded their competences in the field of creating didactic films and processing audiovisual materials. Classes took place in a professional, modernly equipped TVS studio in Katowice.
The classes were conducted by:
- Nina Nocoń – journalist, TV presenter and presenter,
- Marcin Kramarczyk – editor and sound engineer, as well as screenwriter and director,
- Anna Kuś – production manager, producer with many years of experience working for TVP, TVN and TVS, as well as lecturer at the Silesian Academy.
During intensive exercises, participants – including academic teachers – had the opportunity to learn the secrets of television production, try their hand in front of the camera, conduct interviews, and prepare their own public speeches. They also got acquainted with the process of editing and assembly of registered materials and with the tools used in post-production.
The workshop part also included field recordings. Participants learned to implement the so-called “hundreds” – short statements to information materials – taking into account the changing outdoor conditions and the specificity of “live” work. After the finished recordings, the materials were analysed and discussed in technical and substantive terms.
The workshops met with great enthusiasm of the participants, who with full commitment developed their skills in working with the camera and editing, gaining new competences useful in teaching work.
