The second bicycle rally of the Silesian University of Technology is behind us
The second edition of the Bike Rally of the Silesian University of Technology gathered almost forty cycling enthusiasts. The group travelled from Rybnik to Rudy.
Saturday morning at the Silesian University of Technology was under the sign of a joint bicycle trip. As part of the second edition of the Silesian University of Technology Bike Rally, almost forty daredevils took a joint ride on the route from the Rybnik campus of the Silesian University of Technology to the monastery and palace complex in Rudy.

- It started with the After Covid project, under which Prof. Robert Michnik encouraged activity after the pandemic. We were supposed to promote a healthy lifestyle and hence the idea of organizing a rally was born. As you can see, there is no shortage of volunteers – said the organizer of the rally Dr Aldona Rosner from the Continuing Education Centre of the Silesian University of Technology in Rybnik.
Among the participants were university employees with their families. The youngest participant was 5 years old.

The rally was also attended by professors and teachers, as well as the director of the Rybnik Academic Secondary Comprehensive School of the Silesian University of Technology, Krzysztof Lazaj.
- Cycling is my passion. I take part in ultra cycling marathons. I have already covered a loop of Opole, which was 420 kilometres long and West 800 on the route of 880 kilometres. Today we will go a much shorter distance, but it is also a pleasant route – said director Lazaj.

At the finish line of the rally, refreshments, souvenirs, and commemorative medals were waiting for the participants. During the rest, a first aid show was also presented.
