Registration for the free “Science – it’s for me” workshop has started. The workshop will take place on February 11th, 2025, at 15.00, in an online format. The event is addressed to secondary school pupils.
The “Science – it’s for me” workshop is addressed to people who are at the stage of considering various fields of study, are preparing for the Matura exam, would like to learn what work in science looks like or are passionate about it.
In the program of the event:
• Part I: Presentations of outstanding Polish scientists:
- Prof. Marta Gmurek, Lodz University of Technology
- Dr Hab. Marzena Smol, Prof at the Institute of Mineral Resources and Energy Management of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Deputy Chairman of the Academy of Young Scholars of the Polish Academy of Sciences - AMU PAN
• Part II: Interactive workshops with participants in the field of water in a circular economy:
- Dr Eng. Magda Andrunik, Institute of Mineral Resources and Energy Management of the Polish Academy of Sciences

The workshops will be held as part of the Young Scientists Mine project, co-financed by the state budget, granted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education under the program “Social responsibility of Science II – popularization of science.” The event is organized as part of the celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science as part of the implementation of the project entitled the Young Scientists Mine (KMN).
