The scholarship of the Minister of Science is waiting. Application process has started

We would like to inform you about the start of the recruitment of students interested in applying for the scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for significant achievements for the academic year 2026/2027.

The scholarship may be awarded to students with significant scientific or artistic achievements related to their studies or significant sporting achievements.

Students interested in applying for the scholarship of the Minister of Science are asked to submit their application by the 5th of October 2026

Applications to the Ministry are submitted only by the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology. Individual applications of students are not subject to consideration.

IN THE APPLICATION YOU SHOULD PROVIDE:

· name (s) and surname,

· year and field of study,

· student album number

· address for correspondence in Poland,

· phone number,

· information whether the student applied for the scholarship of the Minister of Science in previous years and has an account on the website https://osf.opi.org.pl/

IMPORTANT DEADLINES

· By October 5th, 2026, send your application to COS@polsl.pl

· 1–25 October 2026 – submission of applications by the Rector to the Ministry

· Until 31st of March 2027 – consideration of applications by the Minister of Science and Higher Education

THE SCHOLARSHIP OF THE MINISTER OF SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION IS NOT THE SAME AS THE RECTOR’S SCHOLARSHIP!

These are two different benefits, granted on the basis of separate rules and in a separate mode.
