The Rector of the Silesian University of Technology in the TVP program “Discrepancy Protocol”

The Rector of the Silesian University of Technology, Prof. Marek Pawełczyk was a guest of the “Discrepancy Protocol” program in TVP3 Katowice. The conversation with a journalist Marcin Zasada concerned the chances of Silesia for establishment of the Space Agency centre and the potential of Silesia as well as the participation of the Silesian University of Technology in the development of space technologies.

- We educate 760 people in the field of aviation and space technologies. In the field of space and aviation engineering there is a whole range of specialisations concerning unmanned vehicles, rovers, satellites, spacecraft, and aircraft. In the field of transport, we educate pilots, aircraft mechanics, and air traffic controllers – said the Rector.   

- It is worth noting that this is a special time now. Once, technologies developed at the pace of years, now at the pace of months and we must keep up with all this, and it must be emphasized that the Silesian University of Technology is actively involved in the development of these technologies - emphasized Prof. Marek Pawełczyk.
