The project “Silesian University of Technology as a university promoting modern trends in education”
At our University, the project “Silesian University of Technology, a university promoting modern trends in education and profiling the development of staff and doctoral students” has started. The Centre for Modern Education is the unit implementing the project.
The main objective of the project is to strengthen the quality management system of the didactic process at the Silesian University of Technology and to improve the didactic potential of the university by systematically raising the competences/qualifications of teaching staff and doctoral students in relation to innovative strategies and procedures developed, implemented and evaluated by the Centre for Modern Education (CSC - the unit responsible for improving the quality of the didactic process).

01.12.2025-31.03.2028
The idea of the project:
Adapting the quality of the educational process of teaching staff in the Silesian University of Technology to the needs of the development of the economy and green and digital transformation by 2028.
Main actions:
Support in the form of training, study visits, internships, and postgraduate studies will cover a total of 420 people (350 academic teachers and 70 PhD students).
Participants (regardless of gender and age) of the project are:
- Academic teachers within the meaning of Article 114 of the Act on the Polish Science Centre,
- other persons conducting teaching at the University regardless of the form of employment, i.e. educators who are not academic teachers and persons studying at the Doctoral School run by the University of Technology, having a higher education,
Key results of the project
- Adapting the process of education by the University to the needs of the development of the economy and green and digital transformation by implementing systemic solutions concerning management and improvement of the quality of the didactic process in the university developed by the Centre and aimed at improving the quality of education.
- Obtaining or improving competences/qualifications in 4 mandatory areas by 357 teaching staff and PhD students
The total amount of eligible expenditure of the project (total project costs) is:
1,997,580.00 PLN
The value of funding for the Silesian University of Technology: 1 935 580.00 PLN
of which: from European funds 1 648 403.02 PLN,
The Silesian University of Technology implements the project independently; the project manager is Anna Waligóra PhD in Social Sciences and the unit implementing the project is CNK- Centre for Modern Education.
