The new term of office of the Student Self-Government

At the beginning of the new year, a new term of office of the University Student Self-Government Board began.

The new University Student Self-Government Board are:

• Katarzyna Ptaszyńska – chairperson,
• Irena Grzesik – vice-chair, coordinator of the Committee for Projects,
• Anna Piechowska – coordinator of the Commission for Student Clubs and Organizations,
• Paweł Stando – coordinator of the Committee for People with Disabilities,
• Damian Le Thanh - coordinator of the Development Committee,
• Patryk Jaworski - coordinator of the Social and Housing Committee,
• Szymon Filipowski – coordinator of the Commission for the promotion of education,
• Adam Krochmal – coordinator of the Commission for cooperation with external partners,
• Magdalena Radwan – coordinator of the Image Committee,
• Wiktoria Melska – plenipotentiary for Facebook
• Małgorzata Jaworska – plenipotentiary for Instagram
• Joel Stępień – plenipotentiary for foreign students,
• Julia Wiechowska – plenipotentiary for graphics,
• Wiktoria Bańczyk – plenipotentiary for PKS (Student Bands Review),
• Emilia Haber – office worker.

Among the main action plans, students mention:
- work on the Regulations of the Student Government,
- work on the budget,
- increasing the presence of the government in social media,
- greater involvement in the activities of scientific circles and student organizations,
- conducting training for students,
- running campaigns, among others on student rights, scholarships or problems of people with disabilities.

In addition, the student government invites you to the monthly meeting of the Student Parliament of the Silesian University of Technology . It consists of two representatives from the Departments' Councils of Self-Governments (chairman and a delegate) and a delegate from each Residents' Council. Also present is the chairman of the Student Housing Council, who is Dawid Mordarski in this term of office. Every student can take part in the meeting as a guest - it is enough to announce in advance. The next meetings will be held on the following dates: 15.03, 19.04, 10.05, 21.06, 20.09, 18.10, 15.11, 13.12.
