The National Quality Congress 2026 is underway

On May the 14th, the National Quality Congress 2026 began at the Education and Congress Centre of the Silesian University of Technology. This year it is held under the slogan “Knowledge, relations, business. Industry 5.0 and the quality of the future. Humans, AI, and Energy at the Centre of Transformation.” The event, which includes a record number of participants, will last until May the 15th. The patronage over the Congress was taken by the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology - Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Marek Pawełczyk.

The ceremonial opening of the congress was attended by, among others, Vice-Rector for General Affairs of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Bożena Skołud. Among the speakers of this year’s edition are scientists of the Silesian University of Technology: the Dean of the Faculty of Materials Engineering of the Silesian University of Technology Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Krzysztof Nowacki. - Vice-Dean Infrastructure and Organisation at Faculty of Mining, Safety Engineering and Industrial Automation Dr Hab. Anna Manowska, Prof. SUT and Dr Hab. Eng. Marek Roszak, prof. SUT.

The National Quality Congress 2026 is the largest and most comprehensive event in Poland dedicated to quality, modern management systems, and organizational transformation in the face of technological, climate and social challenges. The Congress gathers business leaders, management practitioners, quality experts, representatives of the world of science and decision-makers responsible for the development of organizations.

The theme of the Congress is Industry 5.0, understood as a new paradigm of development, in which technology, artificial intelligence and automation support – not replace – human beings. Participants of the Congress discuss, among others, the following:

  • the future of quality and management systems,
  • the role of humans in the world of algorithms and AI,
  • the limits of the autonomy of technology,
  • lean management in BANI conditions,
  • organizational maturity as a condition of transformation,
  • adaptation to climate change and energy management,
  • ESG 2.0, Cybersecurity and Directive NIS2
  • leadership, relationships, and organizational culture.

The program of the Congress includes expert presentations, strategic debates, and case studies of Polish organizations, showing quality in a real business context. Among the speakers and panellists are experienced managers, interim managers, lean leaders, AI experts, representatives of the world of standardization and scientists from leading technical universities.
