Vice-Rector for Collaboration with Civic and Economic Environment, prof. dr hab. Eng. Janusz Kotowicz reminded that the Silesian University of Technology - one of ten research universities in Poland - has been functioning as a scientific, research and educational base for the development of the region's and country's economy since its inception.
- Today, society faces many global challenges, which concern broadly understood social problems, but also health issues, climate threats and the economic crisis. Therefore, acquiring specialist skills in managing processes taking place in the economy becomes a particularly important resource for all of us - emphasized prof. Janusz Kotowicz.

Vice-Rector for Science and Development prof. dr hab. Eng. Marek Pawełczyk assessed that there is a bright future ahead of the MBA studies at the Silesian University of Technology. – We are opening a new field of study (Hydrogen technologies and energy transformation), which has already been signed up by over 30 people. The Business School of the Silesian University of Technology will certainly develop well - said prof. Marek Pawełczyk.
- Our University is very often called the forge of presidents and these are not empty words or a marketing slogan, because hard data and statistics are behind it. Many of our graduates find their way to global corporations, holding high positions, opening thriving companies employing many people, choosing high management positions in domestic and foreign organizations. The leadership successes of our graduates prove, among other things, the high level of education at our MBA studies - emphasized the Head of the MBA studies at the Silesian University of Technology, dr hab. Małgorzata Dobrowolska, prof. of Silesian University of Technology
Among this year's MBA graduates there were local government officials, doctors, entrepreneurs and other representatives of the broad socio-economic environment of the Silesian University of Technology. One of them was the mayor of Rybnik, Piotr Kuczera, who completed the Public Services program.
– At every stage of professional development, performing various public functions, some reflection is needed. The MBA program, the lecture offer, the whole series of meetings with various people are just such a lever that helps in development and such an impulse to take further action - said Piotr Kuczera.
