- I think this is more than just the inauguration of the year. It is also the inauguration of a new era in which energy and digital manifestation is not only knowledge, but also a change in our lives – says dr hab. Małgorzata Dobrowolska, prof. SUT, head of MBA studies and director of the Business School. – These are such great revolutions and such great progress that it changes our whole world on a macro scale. Therefore, creating strong leaders who will be responsible for this socio-economic progress is simply crucial for us.

In addition to the standard 580-hour managerial didactic path, MBA studies also offer a 120-hour profiled specialization path, consistent with the profile. The classes include study visits to domestic and international companies, meetings with recognized authorities and a study visit to a foreign partner university - Nyenrode Business University in the Netherlands. It is one of the best business universities in Europe
- This year more than sixty people have enrolled - says prof Małgorzata Dobrowolska. - We are pleased that they have chosen our university, which is in the golden fifteen MBA studies in our country, according to the ranking of “Perspektywy.” We focus on leaders from three sectors. We want them to be not only representatives of the private sector, large, global corporations, or small and medium-sized enterprises, but also representatives of the public sector. It is the local government and offices that are responsible for the key decisions in our country, and we want to develop knowledge about the trends in development in the world in the social sector.

- The studies closely coincide with the plans and strategy of Tauron. They will also fit in with the changes that are taking place in our group. We will certainly be able to use what the lecturers will present to us - says Wojciech Majchrzak, one of the students representing Tauron Sprzedaż.
- The desire to gain experience, development: this prompted me to sign up, as well as the desire to establish new contacts. I have been working in the power industry for fifteen years, so the profile of these studies corresponds to my needs and interests – says Roman Kaźmierczak, another person who has chosen MBA studies at the Silesian University of Technology, who works in the CHP plant in Wrocław.
The MBA postgraduate program has been prepared based on the standards of one of the three most prestigious worldwide accreditations of AMBA (Association of Master of Business Administration), and has a silver badge, BGA validation, which allows graduates to obtain a diploma of recognized international rank. The strategic partner of the profile is Veolia Polska Group.
- We have prepared such a program of study, which is a package of the most important disciplines that are important for leaders. The key competences of the future are flexibility and interdisciplinarity. We are also talking about 4K models: communication, cooperation, creativity, and critical thinking - explains prof. Małgorzata Dobrowolska.
