The first Polish interdisciplinary research consortium has been established
An agreement on the establishment of „Śląskie Centrum Inżynierii Prawa, Technologii i Kompetencji Cyfrowych CYBER SCIENCE” (transl. the Silesian Centre for Legal Engineering, Technology and Digital Competence CYBER SCIENCE) was signed in Katowice as part of the UN-IGF 2021. This will be the first Polish interdisciplinary scientific and research consortium combining technology, Legal Engineering and digital competences.
The agreement was signed by the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology Prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk, the Rector of the University of Silesia in Katowice Prof. Ryszard Koziołek, the Retor of the University of Economics in Katowice Prof. Celina M. Olszak and the Director of the NASK – National Research Institute Wojciech Pawlak.
The agreement was signed on the 6th of December, 2021 during the UN-IGF 2021 Digital Summit taking place in Katowice, the most important digital event of the year. The summit is taking place at the International Congress Centre. It is attended by ministers of digitalisation from various countries of the world, business representatives from different continents, NGO activists and academics. The most important decisions on the future of the Internet will be made at this event.
