The first candidates admitted to the European Institute of Yanshan University

In February 2021, Yanshan University (YSU) together with the Silesian University of Technology (SUT) established the European Institute of Yanshan University, under which joint study programmes were agreed.

Students who complete their education within the European Institute of Yanshan University will obtain a graduation certificate and a bachelor's degree from Yanshan University and an engineering degree from the Silesian University of Technology.

The studies for students recruited in China will last for 4 years and are implemented in the "1+3" scheme. This means that during the first two semesters students will study at YSU, and for the next 3 years, they will come to study in Poland.

In the first intake, 66 students from China were recruited to study engineering at the European Institute of Yanshan University. At the beginning of the academic year 2022/23 we can expect the arrival of the first group of Chinese students at the Silesian University of Technology.

The European Institute of Yanshan University currently offers 5 English-language study programmes: "Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation", "Electrical Engineering and Automation", "Automation", "Electrical Science and Technology" and "Chemical Engineering and Technology".
