The final of the fifth edition of the nationwide competition: "Electronics - to make life easier"
The final of the fifth edition of the nationwide competition: "Electronics - to make life easier" is getting closer. The competition is organised by the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science at the Silesian University of Technology together with the partners such as SIEMENS Polska and KAMAMI.
The final will be held on 25 March 2022. This year, more than 100 participants from all over Poland registered for the competition and 58 works in one- and two-person teams were finally submitted. The committee evaluating the entries selected 10 projects for the finals and awarded 36 projects with second-degree distinctions.
The competition is addressed to students of secondary schools, in particular these schools with mathematics, physics and technology profiles, as well as technical schools teaching the following fields: electronics technician, mechatronics technician, computer science technician, automation technician and other related fields. The competition is open to completed projects that are examples of practical applications of electronics in its broadest sense, including electronic circuits, mechatronic systems, applications for smartphones and tablets, or computer programs.
The review of the selected 10 final works will take place on 25 March 2022 at 9.00 a.m. at the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science at the Silesian University of Technology. The works will be evaluated by the Jury consisting of the university employees and the representatives from our partners. As a result, a Final Gala will be held at 5 p.m. in Żory. During the ceremony, the Jury's verdict will be presented and the laureates will present their winning projects. The programme of the ceremony includes also short presentations of the competition partners.
