The final conference of The ICI Project

We invite academics, PhD students, practitioners and officials dealing with internationalization, scientists, educators and researchers to submit abstracts to the final conference of The Inclusive Comprehensive Internationalization (ICI), which will be held at the University of Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain. December 11 and 12, 2024.

Inclusive Comprehensive Internationalization (ICI - 2021-1-ES01-KA220-HED-000027552) is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership, co-financed by the European Union Erasmus+ Program for 2022-2025. The aim of the project is to help create equal opportunities with all students and enable them to benefit from internationalization, regardless of their origin, orientation or capabilities, as well as to improve their international and intercultural competences.

The ICI conference is the final event of the project, during which the achieved goals, expected and unexpected results and partners' conclusions will be presented. 

The organizers expect proposals on the following topics/topics: 

- international and diversity strategies of higher education institutions (HEIs),
- promoting diversity, equality and inclusion in universities,
- communication between and within universities about diversity, inclusion and equality,
- awareness and engagement at universities,
- common points between inclusivity and internationalization,
- internationalization of the hidden curriculum,
- international learning opportunities: virtual exchange, blended mobility or international collaborative online learning,
- increased opportunities for underrepresented students,
- collaboration across borders,
- intercultural, diverse and inclusive management group of pupils/students,
- internationalization of the curriculum with an inclusive approach,
- international, inclusive, diverse and intercultural learning outcomes.

Summaries (max. three hundred words, without bibliography) must refer to the key points of the presentation and contain specific conclusions for participants.
Examples, research results or good practices are welcome.

Participants whose abstracts have been selected are expected to participate in joint panels with a 10-minute presentation and 15 minutes of discussion (per panel session). Further details will be sent to selected proposals. 

Applications can be submitted via the form (registration) until September 5, 2024.
Selected candidates will be notified by September 25, 2024.
