A branch of the Faculty of Architecture is located on the ground floor of the building at 8, Krasińskiego Street, where the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering, the Faculty of Materials Engineering and partly the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Science are located. Students and lecturers have at their disposal, among others, a multimedia didactic room with a computer lab for 15 workstations and three multimedia boards where  stationary, online or hybrid classes can be conducted. Unique workshops of ceramics, glass and stained glass with glass fusing and ceramic furnaces were also created. Students can also use the "material library" where they can conduct research on building or conservation materials. The vicinity of other faculties of the university is an additional advantage of this location.

– We want it to be a place where all faculties will integrate, thanks to which modern interdisciplinary projects and research teams will be created here, students and teachers will be able to fully use their potential both in the field of technical and engineering sciences, as well as in the field of architecture – emphasized the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology prof. dr hab. Eng. Arkadiusz Mężyk. - The branch of the Faculty of Architecture will complement the representation of the University in Katowice, which is famous for its modern architecture, which is why our presence here is natural - added the Rector.

The university co-financed the costs of adapting the rooms to the needs of students. Further investments are planned in cooperation with the city. The authorities of the University and Katowice plan to develop the campus at Krasińskiego Street, so that it would be a friendly space for students and residents.
