Establishment of the European Centre for Innovative Health Technologies
The mission of the recently established Centre is to create, develop and implement innovative medical technologies in order to improve disease prevention, diagnostics and treatment.
There is no need to convince anyone how challenging it is nowadays to be able to diagnose diseases at an early stage and then treat them effectively. However, this is not possible without the involvement of research entities, which play the role of competence leaders. In order to perform tasks in the field of modern health technologies, the Silesian University of Technology has decided to establish an independent unit conducting interdisciplinary research, service, information, training and promotional activities in this field.
The European Centre for Innovative Health Technologies at the Silesian University of Technology was established on 1 May 2021 with its seat in Zabrze.
Main tasks of the Centre are to conduct scientific research, as well as postgraduate studies and other forms of education. Moreover, this unit deals with the development and implementation of modern technologies and medical devices, organises conferences and seminars, and cooperates with other scientific units and enterprises in order to implement joint research projects.
The European Centre for Innovative Health Technologies was established under the Ordinance No 67/2021 of the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology of 29 April 2021.
