The Centre for Industry 4.0 at the Silesian University of Technology has been established
The need to establish a modern unit dealing with technologies classified as Industry 4.0 resulted in establishing the Centre for Industry 4.0 at the Silesian University of Technology.
The Centre for Industry 4.0 is a university-wide unit of the Silesian University of Technology that has been established to carry out research, development, implementation and training activities to disseminate expert knowledge in the field of industry of the future. The Centre cooperates, in particular, with entities of a similar profile and with the broadly understood socio-economic environment.
The activity of the Centre is international in scope. Main tasks of the Centre include, in particular, conducting training and educational activity as well as designing and developing innovative Industry 4.0 technologies and generating know-how and intellectual property. Equally important is the possibility of organising conferences, congresses, debates and meetings that promote the University's achievements in the development of Industry 4.0 technologies and integration of scientific and non-scientific environment (economic, political, cultural, community representatives, etc.) of national and international range.
The Centre for Industry 4.0 was established by Ordinance No. 68/2021 of the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology of 29 April 2021.
