Vote for the Student Creativity Centre in the Modernisation of the Year competition
Revitalized old stables building, which now houses the Silesian University of Technology Student Creativity Centre – nominated in the competition "Modernization of the Year & Construction of the 21ST Century". The aim of the competition is to promote and select each year the best construction projects, distinguished by special qualities.
Saved from total degradation, the modernized facility of former stables at Akademicka Street in Gliwice has already received recognition. The building from the early 20th century (1920-1934), built in the style of historicism, was once part of the fire station. Once it was a stable for fire horses, but for a long time it was abandoned and unused and its technical condition deteriorated from year to year.
The modernization saved it from total degradation and the building became the seat of the Student Creativity Centre. The building was nominated in the competition "Modernization of the Year & Construction of the 21ST Century".
