The Autumn Jobs, Entrepreneurship, Technology and Accessibility Fair of the Silesian University of Technology

Over 100 exhibitors, several hundred job offers, as well as training and course proposals - the Autumn Fair of Jobs, Entrepreneurship, Technology and Accessibility was held at the Silesian University of Technology. This is the 17th edition of this event.

As every year, the fair was attended by a large crowd of students, PhD students, secondary school pupils, as well as people looking for work or training to improve their qualifications.

– We are pleased with the huge interest in the fair, both among exhibitors and visitors. For the last week, the fair was held online, today it is possible to meet in person and clarify details that may have been discussed during remote meetings. The fair is also a good opportunity to get acquainted with the rich offer of employers not only in the Silesian region, because the companies that exhibit here operate globally - said the rector of the Silesian University of Technology, prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk.

Students, PhD students and secondary school pupils visiting the Autumn Job Fair can find out what specialists they are looking for and what kind of employers they are looking for. – Already during your studies, it is worth planning your future well and knowing what company or position you are interested in – added dr hab. Eng Tomasz Trawinski, prof. SUT, Vice-Rector for Infrastructure and Promotion.

Students also believe that the fair is a good opportunity to learn about trends in the labour market and potential employers.

– This is definitely a very good opportunity to think about what we want to do during our studies and in the future. We come to university after secondary school with the attitude that we want to study in a given field. Here we have a chance to verify our views on a given profession, talk to employers, find out what they expect - said Patryk Jaworski from the Student Self-Government of the Silesian University of Technology.

The fair organizers also took care of the needs of disabled people. – During the event, people with disabilities have full opportunity to use the entire fair offer with full support, both for the hearing-impaired and visually impaired – said prof. Bogusław Łazarz, Vice-Rector for General Affairs.

During the Autumn Fair of Jobs, Entrepreneurship, Technology and Accessibility of the Silesian University of Technology, one could also obtain information about starting and running their own business or participating in activities that improve social and professional competences.
