The 3rd Scientific Conference of the Best Scientists in the world- TOP 2%

The 3rd Scientific Conference of the Best Scientists in the World – TOP 2% is ahead of us. It will begin on September the 8th, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. in the Chamber Hall of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice 1, Wojciech Kilar Square).

Each year, the group of 2% of the most influential scientists in the world is selected on the basis of accepted citation rates of publications in two categories: for the previous year and for the entire period of their professional work. The research was initiated in 2019 on the basis of an article in the journal “PLOS Biology” by the authors from Stanford University, Elsevier, and SciTech Strategies.

Scientists who are among the best will meet again at the conference in Katowice. The first edition of this conference was organised during the celebrations of the European City of Science Katowice 2024 during Katowice Week, and this year's edition is an annual continuation of this initiative.
